I like this definition! It basically states that anyone can have fame as long as people talk about them, which a lot of people (who are famous, especially) would argue.
How many people is many people? 10? 10,000? This was really the only aspect I could find to argue about because the rest is the actual definition of fame.
Other qualifiers? I believe this is already a recognized definition. It's going to be very hard to argue against it. Try revising it to make it more controversial.
This is a definition already. Maybe you could specify it to what you think fame is for your own life, or at what point you believe someone becomes famous.
I feel like this is the definition already. I do not know who would oppose it. Make it your own opinion.
ReplyDeleteThe only thing a person could argue is that fame requires you to be talented or skilled, but there isn't much more to argue.
ReplyDeleteI like this definition, it is definitely debatable. How would you define "many"?

ReplyDeleteGood definition. What qualifies this though? you will need more to argue your case and for others to argue about.
ReplyDeleteDo people make them famous? So without fans or just anybody that talks about them they wouldn't be famous?
ReplyDeleteSo can you be famous within your groups of friends, work place, and sports team? is there different levels of fame?
ReplyDeleteI think this is just about what fame already is, and skill itself is something that can be argued.

ReplyDeleteIs this your own definition of fame? I believe nobody would argue this.

ReplyDeleteYou need more qualifiers, its not very arguable and its a very common definition of fame.

ReplyDeleteVery good and simple definition. The regardless of skill part can be debated and that is what make it a good definition. Well done
