Destruction is the beginning of construction, it helps one
realize how fragile the world can be and gives us a second chance to start all
over, adapt, rejoice, and forget the past to start a better future.
I like your definition, it is definitely debatable. However, one may argue that the beginning of any construction does not necessarily cause one to realize how fragile the world is. For example, does the construction of a model toy lead to this kind of realization?
I really like your definition because it looks at the positive effects of destruction. That also makes it debatable because most people see it as negative and something that is physically destroyed. Construction of what though?
I would agree with Alex, some would argue that instead of looking as destruction comes after construction and is more looked upon as a bad thing. I like your definition though, super creative.
With this definition, the beginning of construction is destruction. I just constructed that sentence, and nothing was destroyed. I did not adapt or rejoice. Good argument though, very debatable.
It would help to tie your simple definition into once thought. Perhaps instead of "of construction, it helps one realize how fragile" you could put "of construction that helps one realize how fragile..."
A lot of people would argue destruction is when nothing is left. Good job.
Destruction may not be something to rejoice about. There are many situations where rejoicing just isn't realistic. Just something to think about or many just the refuting point that you use.
This is a very interesting definition. It is very arguable because many people that destruction is the opposite if construction and you have refereed to it by including construction in your definition.
This is a good definition. It is very debatable and give and interesting perspective on destruction. I like the side you too and how you worded your definition
I think yours is good because most people would say that destruction will not be the beginning of something new at first I think.

ReplyDeleteDon't you have to construct before you destruct? Some will argue that there is a point of destruction where you can no longer construct.

ReplyDeleteThis seems arguable since destruction sounds like the exact opposite of construction, but I can still understand what you mean in your definition.
ReplyDeleteI think this is really good, because no one thinks of destruction being something that occurs before destruction and it can be argued.

ReplyDeleteVery arguable, people might believe destruction is a bad thing, comes from bad, and leads to bad things, which is never good.
